On Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 15:00 to 19:00, Al Bustan Hall in Fujairah will conduct an aid collecting event in response to the overwhelming response to the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign and the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council’s extension of it.
The Fujairah Charity Association and the Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi Foundation for Humanitarian Affairs will organize the event to gather food packages and shelter supplies.
The chairman of the board of directors of the Fujairah Charity Association and special adviser to the ruler of Fujairah, Saeed Bin Mohammed Al Raqbani, emphasised the leadership’s eagerness to assist the people of Lebanon who are suffering from the ongoing violence.
He specifically mentioned the desire of Fujairah’s ruler and Supreme Council member, His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, and the Crown Prince of Fujairah, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, to support the aid effort, demonstrating the UAE’s moral obligation to support countries in need.
The high attendance at the campaign’s collection activities demonstrated that humanitarian activity is an essential component of the UAE’s social character, according to Suhail Rashid Al Qadi, Director of the Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi Foundation for Humanitarian Affairs. Volunteers from various backgrounds will take part in collaboration with the Volunteers.ae platform and other national organisations.
