Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group, has launched the first phase of the unified Dubai Sky Map, a critical tool for improving the mechanism for supervising civil aviation activities in the emirate’s airspace. The portal integrates all DCAA maps for tracking air transport trucks, cranes, and other services.
Sheikh Ahmed announced DCAA’s participation in Gitex Global 2024, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 14th to 18th. The platform is a pioneering step towards DCAA’s mission of fostering innovation and future readiness.
The Dubai Sky Map is an essential tool and interactive map for regulating the emirate’s airspace. It combines all DCAA services into a single unified platform, which involves tracking all air transport movements, cranes, and other services via a live data feed. This platform also helps to improve the safety and efficiency of air operations in Dubai, demonstrating the DCAA’s dedication to creating new solutions to improve performance and airspace management.
In addition to this ambitious plan, DCAA will highlight a number of innovative technologies and initiatives during the event. All of these fall under the Dubai Digital platform and are aimed at enhancing work quality and elevating leadership standards in aviation management, hence assuring the safety of air transport in Dubai.
