The longest mountain trails in the United Arab Emirates have been developed by Dubai Municipality. They include 21 53-kilometer cycling routes, 17 33-kilometer walking trails, nine wooden bridges, and fourteen rest areas and service facilities.
One of the many initiatives being carried out by Dubai Municipality to position Hatta as a top tourism destination in the area is the Hatta Mountain Trails.
The trails are separated into four colour-coded difficulty levels: Green has four walking and four cycling tracks; Blue has six walking and three cycling tracks; Red has eight walking and six cycling routes; and Black has three walking and four cycling trails. In line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Hatta Mountain Trails project has been developed to enhance the quality of life in Dubai and position it as the most active and healthy city in the world,” stated Dawoud Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality. Our goal is to implement projects that benefit the Hatta region and make it a popular travel destination for locals and visitors.
