Due to operational problems, UAE airlines Etihad Airways, Emirates, and flydubai have cancelled flights to various Saudi Arabian locations. Passengers should check their flight status and contact the carriers for rebooking or refund options.
In an update on its website, the airline stated that the situation remained fluid and that additional modifications to flight itineraries were possible. Etihad Airways apologised for any inconvenience caused by the disruptions and stated that its personnel were doing everything possible to assist affected passengers.
Emirates has also cancelled flights from Dubai to King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on October 9 and 10, according to flight schedules available on the airline’s website. Operations on the route are set to resume as usual on October 11.
Meanwhile, flydubai has cancelled flights to Riyadh and Yanbu until October 10, and flights to Abha until October 11. A flydubai representative stated that the airline was actively monitoring the situation and will continue to work with the relevant authorities.
The airline stated that it would keep customers informed of any developments affecting flight schedules via its proper channels. Passengers whose travel plans have been impacted by the cancellations can check the Manage Booking area of flydubai’s website for refund or rebooking alternatives, according to a spokeswoman.
