Under the “Nafea” community and national awareness campaign, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and the Ministry of Education (MoE) organized a virtual forum with the goal of protecting children and youth. The forum took place in public schools around the United Arab Emirates during the Year of the Family 2026. It is a component of a strategic alliance that aims to uphold true Emirati values and convert governmental directives into workable projects that improve quality of life and foster a secure, encouraging learning environment.

In order to instill community values and promote constructive behavior among students, the forum included a series of educational sessions led by specialized departments within the Ministry of Interior. The General Directorate of Happiness spoke on “Creating a Safe and Positive School Environment,” while the Child Protection Center gave a talk on “Combating Bullying.” A presentation on “Positive Citizenship and the Rule of Law” was given by the General Directorate of Community Protection and Crime Prevention’s Law Respect Culture Bureau.

Under the direction of the Ministry’s Public Relations Department, the program also featured awareness videos created by the National Programs Department and a summary of the registration processes for the national volunteering platform “Emirates Volunteers” and the “Nafea” platform. These platforms seek to foster a volunteer attitude, encourage students to perform community service, and uphold the virtues of collaboration, tolerance, and humanitarianism.
