Created in collaboration with the Meem Foundation, American Hospital Dubai, and PeriCare, the FemTech Hub is a ground-breaking regional program that advances women’s health via science, technology, education, innovation, and economic empowerment. It was unveiled at Expo City Dubai’s Women’s Pavilion.
Through expert-led learning, research-to-market initiatives, and entrepreneurship support, the FemTech Hub, which was unveiled at the World Health Expo (WHX) Dubai on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (February 11), will close long-standing gaps in women’s health access, knowledge, and innovation throughout the Middle East and beyond.
Expo City Dubai is now leading one of the world’s fastest-growing industries thanks to the new initiative. From $51 billion in 2023 to over $267 billion in 2035, the worldwide FemTech industry—which represents technologies and solutions to address women’s healthcare needs—is expected to grow fivefold.
Despite the expected surge in investment, women’s health continues to get inadequate funding and support. It is still difficult for women to obtain trustworthy, specialised health information, which emphasises how urgently trustworthy, evidence-based platforms are needed.
Marjan Faraidooni, Expo City Dubai’s Chief of Education and Culture and Chief of Human Resources, stated: “Improving women’s health is a crucial issue that needs to be addressed, and empowering women is the cornerstone of prosperous communities.
