World-Future-Energy-Summit-2025

The 18th World Future Energy Summit opened on January 13 at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi, marking its largest and most ambitious edition to date. Held as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week and hosted by Masdar, the summit brings together global leaders at a critical moment for the energy transition, with a strong focus on turning climate commitments into real-world action.

The event has attracted more than 50,000 pre-registered participants from over 150 countries. It features more than 450 exhibiting companies and around 400 expert speakers from government, industry, finance, academia, and civil society. International cooperation is a key theme, supported by country pavilions, high-level forums such as the EU Hydrogen Council’s Summit, and partnerships with organisations including Greenpeace MENA and the International Renewable Energy Agency.

According to organisers, the 2026 edition has been designed to extend beyond the three-day event by promoting long-term collaboration, investment, and year-round business engagement. New conference formats, expanded programmes, and innovation-focused platforms aim to accelerate the transition from discussion to deployment of clean energy solutions.

Running until January 15, the summit highlights the growing role of artificial intelligence in energy and sustainability through the launch of the FUSE AI event. The exhibition covers the full clean energy value chain, showcasing technologies across renewable energy, hydrogen, water and waste management, circular economy, smart cities, eMobility, green finance, digital energy, cybersecurity, and intelligent infrastructure.
