The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has announced the legal rules governing celebrations and vehicle furnishings during the 54th Eid Al Etihad (National Day) celebrations, emphasizing that these instructions are intended to ensure road user safety and to limit any practices that may endanger lives or property.

Brigadier Engineer Hussein Ahmed Al Harthi, Member of the Federal Traffic Council at the Ministry of the Interior, highlighted the necessity of commemorating National Day in a civilised manner that reflects the UAE’s positive values.

He urged the people to follow the rules and preventive measures, as well as to ensure public safety and traffic flow in accordance with local customs. The regulations require the use of only approved stickers, prohibit the posting of any slogans, placards, or stickers unrelated to National Day, and forbid marches and random gatherings on public roadways. They also prohibit impeding traffic, blocking roadways, or causing traffic congestion.

The restrictions also prohibited vehicles from being overloaded, people from exiting through windows or sunroofs, stunts or dangerous behaviour on interior and exterior highways, and emphasized the need to follow traffic rules and police officers’ directions.
