Both Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Chairperson of the Sharjah Family and Community Council, attended two motivational keynote addresses at the 14th International Government Communication Forum (IGCF), which was sponsored by His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
American educator and entrepreneur Sal Khan, a world-renowned educator, led with a stirring lecture titled “Happiness Economy,” inspiring the audience to rethink society’s actual advancement in terms of both economic output and personal fulfillment and satisfaction.
Regarding education as the most potent instrument for empowerment, Khan said, “I dreamed of a world where anyone, anywhere, can access knowledge and tuition for free, and I took it upon myself to realize that dream.” Instead of being a goal in itself, education is the first step toward transformation. He fervently declared that the democratization of information is also a crucial bridge connecting the various facets of society, particularly the government and its citizens.
