Tomorrow, Monday, Flag Day will be celebrated both publicly and officially throughout the United Arab Emirates. Flag Day is a national holiday celebrated every year on which inhabitants and Emiratis alike pledge their allegiance to the Founding Fathers’ ideals and show their love and loyalty to the country and its leadership.
His Majesty The Vice President, Prime Minister, and ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, had earlier urged all citizens, residents, and institutions nationwide to raise the flag at 11 a.m. on November 3rd as a sign of solidarity and patriotism, representing the spirit of the union and the people’s loyalty to their country and its leaders.
Brothers and sisters, on November 3rd, we will celebrate Flag Day, an annual occasion on which we renew our pledge, reaffirm our loyalty, and express our love for the UAE flag, the symbol of our sovereignty and flag of our union,” His Highness said in a post on X. The event strengthens the UAE’s reputation as a regional leader in tolerance and harmony by embodying the country’s ideals of peaceful coexistence among its people.
“Flag Day is a national occasion full of pride and dignity, symbolizing the strength and resilience of the Union’s foundations and the unity of the nation under the emblem of sovereignty,” emphasized Ahmed Bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention.
