Travel enthusiasts are focussing on a developing trend as the final long weekend of the year draws nearer: “seacations.” These days, short cruise vacations that cross the Arabian Gulf are very popular due to rising airfares and lengthy visa application delays.
The surge in demand for cruises, especially during extended weekends and public holidays, has led travel agencies to provide alluring packages in an attempt to draw in customers.
Noting that these cruises combine affordability and adventure, Shamsheed CV, senior consultant for outbound travel at Wisefox Tourism, emphasised the growing interest in these cruises. Residents of the UAE are becoming increasingly interested in cruise vacations. Such trips are becoming more and more popular, especially now that the cost of airfare to visa-free countries has increased and raised the total cost of the travel package, according to Shamsheed.
Many operators have started to offer discounts on these trips during the National Day holiday. Because they are affordable and provide a variety of activities for travellers, seaside vacations are growing in popularity. It resembles a floating metropolis with all the entertainment you could want for a sailing vacation.
