The Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s attack on Al-Udeid Air Base in the sister state of Qatar was sharply denounced by the United Arab Emirates, which called it a flagrant breach of international law and the UN Charter as well as a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and airspace.

The UAE’s categorical condemnation of any attack that jeopardises Qatar’s security and safety and jeopardises regional stability was reaffirmed in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Ministry reaffirmed the UAE’s unwavering support for all actions intended to safeguard the security and safety of Qatari nationals and inhabitants, as well as its complete solidarity with Qatar.

The statement also emphasised how urgently military escalation must stop, cautioning that further actions might endanger regional security and lead the area down hazardous roads that would have disastrous effects on global peace and security.

The Ministry emphasised that the only way to resolve the present issues and maintain the security, stability, and well-being of the region’s peoples is via meaningful conversation. It advocated for diplomatic solutions and the good neighbourliness concept.
