At the Beijing International Book Fair 2026, which took place from June 17–21 at the China National Convention Center in Beijing with over 1,700 exhibitors from 82 countries and over 300,000 visitors, the United Arab Emirates concluded its historic participation as a Guest of Honour.

The focal point of the UAE’s involvement was the Emirati House, which provided guests with an all-encompassing cultural experience that highlighted Emirati literature, the publishing industry, national heritage, innovation, and the creative and cultural sectors.

With 30 Emirati exhibitors and over 469 publications on display, the pavilion showcased the UAE’s cultural environment and strengthened the country’s standing as a global center for creativity, culture, and knowledge sharing.

Al Ayyala performances, Al Sheela, henna art, the Coffee House, Al Sadu weaving, and Emirati cuisine were among the more than 140 varied cultural events held at the UAE pavilion. There were also 23 panel discussions, the introduction of two new books, two book-signing events, artistic performances, workshops, and interactive experiences. These events demonstrated the UAE’s expanding commitment to enhancing international cultural discourse while also reflecting the diversity of the nation’s cultural landscape.
