President His Highness Under the theme “Hand in Hand,” Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has proclaimed 2025 as the Year of Community. This national initiative embodies the leadership’s goal of promoting a cohesive and empowered community.
Through the preservation of cultural heritage, the development of intergenerational relationships, and the creation of inclusive places that promote cooperation, belonging, and shared experiences, the Year of Community seeks to deepen ties between families and communities. Additionally, it promotes a culture of shared responsibility and propels collective progress by encouraging everyone who calls the United Arab Emirates home to actively participate in society through volunteer work, community service, and meaningful projects.
Together with other UAE national priorities, the Year of Community also aims to unleash the potential and capabilities of people, families, and organisations by fostering innovation, developing skills, and nurturing talents in areas like entrepreneurship and emerging industries, like artificial intelligence, in order to promote inclusive growth and long-lasting positive impact.
As Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Her Highness Sheikha Mariam Bint Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairperson of the Presidential Court for National Projects, will be in charge of the initiative.
