The President of the UAE approves $30 Million in aid for Lebanese Displaced in Syria

On Monday, the president of the United Arab Emirates issued an urgent emergency aid package of $30 million to Lebanese refugees in Syria.

The UAE’s continuous efforts to assist persons in Lebanon, assist them in overcoming present difficulties, and uphold its unwavering commitment to the Lebanese people are reflected in Sheikh Mohamed’s initiative.

The ‘The UAE is with you, Lebanon’ assistance campaign was started yesterday and will involve the community, institutions, government, and corporate sectors. It is scheduled to start on Tuesday, October 8, and run through Monday, October 21.

As part of the state’s efforts to support and aid the Lebanese brothers and stand with them in overcoming the current challenges and hardships, the UAE President already approved an urgent humanitarian aid package of $100 million. This campaign follows that order.

On Monday, the ruler also ordered the dispatch of six additional planes to deliver humanitarian aid to the Lebanese. The nation had previously promised a $100 million relief package, which will be supplemented by the latest funding.
