The Honourable The “Dubai Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) Grant Initiative” was approved today by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF).” This initiative will provide crucial funding for a variety of research projects that are propelling notable advancements in Dubai’s major economic sectors.
One of the main results of Sheikh Hamdan’s September 2022 launch of the Dubai Research and Development Program is the initiative.
The Dubai Research and Development Program, headed by the Dubai Future Foundation, seeks to create a thorough framework for encouraging creative RDI endeavours in Dubai. In addition to outlining methods for managing and funding RDI projects, initiatives, and laws, it also aims to boost local R&D spending, improve funding from the private sector, and initiate research projects.
As Sheikh Hamdan states, “Dubai’s vision for the future of its key economic sectors is contingent upon the implementation of research and development initiatives.” We will make every effort to support research initiatives that advance all scientific fields and contribute to our goal of becoming global leaders.
