The Judicial Council’s chairman and deputy ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, presided over a council meeting on Wednesday morning at the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah. Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed commended the Judicial Council members’ achievements over the previous time, praising their ongoing efforts to uphold the rule of law, enhance the legal system, and create a just judicial environment that protects rights and fosters social stability.

In order to expedite case resolution and guarantee justice, the meeting covered a variety of themes pertaining to monitoring the caliber of judicial performance and improving the effectiveness of court operations. The development of litigation procedures, institutional integration, and attaining the highest standards of accuracy and transparency in judicial work were also covered. In order to elevate practices in accordance with highest standards and enhance the legislative and professional framework of judicial activity, the Council established a set of regulatory bylaws.

In a way that strengthens governance and upholds values of honesty and responsibility, these include the Judicial Inspection Regulation, the Code of Judicial Conduct, the Regulation for Organizing Visitation Rights of Custodial Children, the Family Guidance Regulation, the Professional Conduct Regulation for Family Counselors, and the Regulation for Marriage Officials. In keeping with the swift advancements in a variety of fields, the Council also approved the creation of certain specialized prosecution divisions as a qualitative step to increase specialization and the handling of particular cases.
