On Wednesday, hundreds of students from various schools and age groups attended the 43rd Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) at Sharjah Expo. The visiting students, both boys and girls, and their teachers appear to be having a great time perusing the hundreds of books of all sizes and colors, but especially their favorite selections, such as comic books and storybooks.
Shankar, a representative of one of the participating Indian publishers at the SIBF, stated, “Like many other publishers and bookstalls, we have hundreds of books in different categories to give away in order to engage and entertain these schoolchildren of different age groups.
Numerous participating publishers and departmental stalls have provided attendees free printed materials and books, especially students. “One of the best parts of our school term is visiting the SIBF because we have been allowed to buy our favorite books from leading publishers at discount prices,” Muhammad, a student at Sharjah Private School, told Gulf Today.
In addition to providing a vast selection of books on a variety of hot topics, the top publishers at the book fair are also giving away up to 30%, which is a favorite among readers.
