Sheikha Salama Bint Butti Road in Madinat Zayed was developed and rehabilitated, and a new traffic light was installed in front of the municipality building. To facilitate traffic flow in all directions, the traffic signal connects the public park and the industrial area to the commercial district and the Marabe Al Dhafra parks.
Two traffic signal junctions were eliminated, and a new 10-kilometre lane was added as part of the upgrade and rehabilitation work. To prioritize public transportation and ensure pedestrian safety, acceleration and deceleration lanes were also constructed at the road entrances and exits to the new Madinat Zayed bus station. By serving important commercial hubs and encouraging eco-friendly light transportation, these upgrades boost the city’s urban integration and stimulate economic growth.
By using international best practices for preserving natural resources and cutting energy use, they also help to achieve the highest standards of environmental sustainability, demonstrating a dedication to the future vision of sustainable urban living. Two traffic signal crossings were removed, and a new lane was added as part of the upgrading and rehabilitation program.
