Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, spearheaded the launch of specific programs guaranteeing the continuation of education in Lebanon through the Digital School, which operates under Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), in accordance with the campaign started by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to support the Lebanese people. This action ensures support for Lebanese children and schools affected by the recent events.

The UAE’s larger humanitarian response to assist the Lebanese people, including emergency supplies, food, and healthcare, includes the Lebanon Education Continuity Project (2024–2025).

Thanks to this scheme, which is anticipated to initially help 40,000 students, children who are interrupted by current events will be able to continue their education. The project will use integrated digital platforms to offer teachers the necessary tools and training in addition to instructional programs for pupils. It emphasizes the UAE’s dedication to education as a pillar of long-term advancement, sustainable development, and communal healing.

“The Lebanon Education Continuity Project reflects the directives of President His Highness Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum to support and aid the Lebanese people, enabling them to navigate the current challenges, particularly in the education sector, where a large number of children are being educated,” stated Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Secretary-General of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI).
