Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has carried out its Warm Winter Campaign in Syria as part of a field visit focused on assessing the needs of affected families and strengthening humanitarian efforts on the ground.

The visiting delegation was led by Abdullah Sultan Bin Khadim, CEO of SCI, along with Mohammed Hamdan Al Zarri, Assistant CEO for Offices and Foreign Affairs, and Khalid Al Ali, Director of the Projects and Foreign Aid Department.

Bin Khadim said the visit included official meetings with the Ministry of Social Affairs, where discussions centred on the government’s plan to close displacement camps and the challenges linked to housing. The talks also explored ways to rehabilitate families and help them achieve self-reliance through support for small and productive projects.

The delegation also met with officials from the Ministry of Health to discuss support for the healthcare sector. These discussions covered hospital needs, the provision of essential medical supplies, and opportunities to support mobile clinics and specialised medical campaigns aimed at the most vulnerable groups.

During the visit, the delegation oversaw the distribution of humanitarian aid donated by Dubai Islamic Bank to 1,500 families in the areas of Shebaa, Al Harjan, and Deir Al Asafir. The assistance included food parcels, hygiene kits, winter clothing for children, and jackets for men, women, boys, and girls.
