Kevan Parekh, an Indian, has been Appointed as Apple's New Chief Financial Officer

Kevan Parekh, an Indian, has been named as Apple’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He will also be joining the company’s executive team. Apple stated that current CFO Luca Maestri will step down on January 1, 2025.

Cook stated, “Kevan has been an invaluable member of Apple’s finance leadership team for more than a decade and he knows the company inside and out.”

The Apple CEO continued, “His keen intellect, sound judgement, and financial brilliance make him the perfect choice to be Apple’s next CFO.

Prior to joining Apple, Parekh had global experience at General Motors and held a number of senior leadership positions at Thomson Reuters.

Parekh, an electrical engineer who holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan, has been with Apple for 11 years. He is currently in charge of Investor Relations, Financial Planning and Analysis, G&A and Benefits Finance, and Market Research.

Parekh oversaw Global Sales, Retail, and Marketing Finance before taking on this position. According to the company, he started out overseeing the financial support of Apple’s engineering, product marketing, and internet sales and services teams.
