Noura Bint Mohammed Al Kaabi co-chaired a high-level delegation meeting with K. Nandini Singla, Director General of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), in an attempt to strengthen cultural links between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of India.
Abdulnasser Alshaali, the UAE Ambassador to India; Abdelrahman Al Maeeni, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy; Ghanem Al Hajeri, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports; and Mubarak Al Nakhi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, were among the members of the UAE delegation.
The main topics of the conference were the operationalization of the India-UAE Cultural Council and initiatives to strengthen interpersonal ties and improve cooperation in the fields of the arts, education, creative industries, historic preservation, and youth involvement.
One of the meeting’s main highlights was the conversation about the opening of India House in the United Arab Emirates. The idea behind India House is to create a cultural center that will present India’s rich artistic and cultural legacy to a worldwide audience. Both parties also discussed the creation of thematic subcommittees to supervise collaboration across priority areas, business-to-business partnerships, and innovative start-ups.
The meeting with Nandini Singla and the ICCR team symbolized the UAE and India’s shared commitment to fostering stronger cultural and creative relationships. “We are making sure that the long-lasting connections between our two countries continue to thrive by promoting cooperation among our vibrant art and creative communities and broadening cultural exchanges,” Al Kaabi stated.
