Due to 27 airports remaining closed till May 10, domestic carriers cancelled almost 430 flights on Thursday, or about 3% of all planned flights in the nation, following India’s Operation Sindoor. Data from Flightradar24, a flight tracking tool, showed that there were relatively few commercial aircraft operating in the airspace over Pakistan and the western corridor of India.

As airlines avoided the hazardous area, there was no civilian air activity over Pakistan or the western Indian shoulder between Jammu and Kashmir and Gujarat, the portal said, sharing real-time flight route data and cancellation statistics.

Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Bathinda, Halwara, Pathankot, Bhuntar, Shimla, Gaggal, Dharamsala, Kishangarh, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Mundra, Rajkot, Porbandar, Kandla, Keshod, Bhuj, Gwalior, and Hindon are among the airports that are impacted. On Wednesday, operations at 21 airports in northern and western India were halted, and over 300 flights were cancelled.
