At its Fall 2025 Commencement Ceremony, which took place at University City Hall in University City of Sharjah, American University of Sharjah (AUS) celebrated the graduation of 419 students in front of AUS President Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi.
To honor the Class of Fall 2025 and commemorate a significant turning point in the academic careers of the university’s most recent graduates, families, friends, staff, and visitors came together. Today we honor the academic achievements of the Class of Fall 2025,” stated Sheikha Bodour. More than that, though, we honor the intellectual clarity, resilient spirit, and sense of purpose they have acquired along the way.
Chancellor Dr. Tod Laursen commented on the class’s accomplishments, saying, “Commencement is always one of the most meaningful occasions in the life of AUS because it allows us to see the impact of our mission reflected in our graduates.” The Class of Fall 2025 has demonstrated that it is capable of responding with intellectual curiosity, discipline, and a distinct sense of purpose after studying and growing through a time of profound world change. Our goal at AUS is to produce graduates who can think critically, behave morally, and recognize their obligation to advance Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates, and the global community.
