The emirate will collaborate with Elon Musk on a bold proposal to link Dubai’s most populated neighbourhoods. On Day 3 of the World Government Summit (WGS) 2025, Musk announced the “Dubai Loop” initiative while digitally chatting with Omar AlOlama, the UAE’s Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications.
At the conclusion of a 30-minute session, AlOlama stated, “We’re going to announce the joint project of Dubai Loop, which is a loop project that will cover Dubai’s most densely populated areas for people to go from point to point.”
According to Musk, it will resemble a wormhole. It’s as if you can simply wormhole from one area of the city to another and find yourself in a whole different location. People will think this is incredibly cool if they give it a try. In hindsight, he added, the loop system will appear to be a clear choice for connecting crowded locations once it is put into place.
Al Olama also thanked Musk for the collaboration. “We’re excited about the partnership and will be on the first trip and the first pod,” he stated. The disclosure happened at the conclusion of a conversation on Musk’s The Boring Company and its initiatives to construct safe, quick, and affordable tunnels across cities in order to alleviate traffic and change cities, even though more information about the project was not disclosed.
