With 46 million visitors in the first half of 2025, Dubai International (DXB) had its busiest first half ever. DXB’s resilience, the enduring strength of Dubai’s aviation industry, and the airport’s capacity to sustain high performance in spite of brief regional airspace disruptions in May and June are all highlighted by the 2.3% year-over-year growth. This accomplishment demonstrates how important DXB is to linking Dubai to the rest of the globe and advancing the city’s economy as a whole.
Compared to the same period last year, DXB served 22.5 million visitors in the second quarter alone, a 3.1 percent rise. The quarter’s biggest month and the busiest April ever was April, when 8 million passengers went through the terminals.
According to Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, “DXB’s sustained growth during a time of regional challenges demonstrates the resilience of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates, the flexibility of our operations, and the dedication of our airport community.” Once more, the one DXB mentality allowed us to handle disruption while improving the visitor experience and guaranteeing uninterrupted worldwide connection.
