The 44th edition of GITEX GLOBAL, the largest tech and startup event in the world, officially begins today with the goal of redefining the global digital economy and artificial intelligence (AI) landscape.
The event brings together tech companies, governments, investors, experts, startups, and academic institutions from all around the world under the topic “Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy.”
Expand North Star, presented by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy at Dubai Harbour from October 13–16, is taking place concurrently with GITEX. It is acknowledged as the biggest startup and investment event in the world. In connection with the occasion, Pakistan was also named ‘Tech Destination of the Year’ earlier this month.
“At GITEX GLOBAL in Dubai, we shall close the year with significant manoeuvres from our tech community by doubling down on global collaborations and intensive engagements among all involved,” stated Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of DWTC, in a press statement. We will gain a competitive edge in the struggle for regional and global digital dominance by implementing these measures.
Notably, the approximately 40% increase in foreign participation in GITEX GLOBAL 2024 reflects the aspirations of developing digital nations hoping to establish themselves in the global AI economy.
More than 120 hours of AI and deep tech material will be presented at GITEX Global, covering subjects like EdTech, Digital Finance, and Future Health. Leading companies in the sector, including Datalec, Khazna, and Schneider Electric, will be present at the event, which also launches the largest Data Centre Symposium in the area. Expand North Star aims to connect innovative founders with new markets and investors, featuring over $1.2 trillion in Assets Under Management. The event also seeks to redefine finance, blockchain, and creativity through co-located events, including GITEX Impact and Fintech Surge.
