In an effort to promote wellness and active living throughout Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and Burjeel Holdings, a top super-specialty healthcare provider in the MENA area, have announced their partnership. As part of the two-pronged strategic partnership, Burjeel Holdings will manage community health and wellness activities and serve as ADSC’s official medical partner at its events.
His Excellency Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder and Chairman of Burjeel Holdings, inked a strategic agreement to formalize the partnership. Additionally present during the signing were Mr. John Sunil, Burjeel Holdings’ Group CEO, Mr. Safeer Ahamed, Burjeel Holdings’ Group COO, and Mr. Omran Al Khoori, Executive Board Member.
Burjeel Holdings has been ADSC’s official medical partner since 2022. It has sponsored about 500 ADSC-organized sporting and community activities over the last three years, including global competitions like the FIFA Club World Cup. Together, the organizations have spearheaded significant projects that offer top-notch medical care to competitors and spectators at major competitions like the ADNOC Marathon and the UAE Tour. The partnership’s renewal broadens its focus beyond event-specific assistance to support a more comprehensive goal, furthering ADSC’s aim of fostering a healthier, more active community via meaningful community engagement and transformative wellness initiatives.
