The 31st Beijing International Book Fair, held from June 18 to 22 at the China National Convention Centre, is being attended by the United Arab Emirates. The UAE’s national pavilion, which reflects the diversity and depth of the nation’s cultural landscape, is part of its impressive presence. The Ministry of Culture is involved in the pavilion, which the UAE Embassy in Beijing organises.
The UAE hopes to acquaint the Chinese people to the essential components of Emirati culture and heritage, as well as the notable figures who have shaped the country’s cultural environment, by participating in this worldwide cultural event.
Along with exploring potential areas of collaboration, the participation aims to forge strong relationships with China’s publishing and cultural sectors and form productive alliances with top Chinese institutions in the creative and cultural sectors.
Along with the signing of cooperation agreements, the pavilion offers a varied program that includes professional meetings, discussion panels, and a number of official visits. This program is in line with the UAE’s goal of promoting cultural openness and enhancing its standing internationally.
In front of Mubarak Al Nakhi, the undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, and many Emirati and Chinese officials, UAE Ambassador to China Hussain Bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi officially opened the UAE pavilion at the expo.
