AI and Tech should be Led by Women, According to Bodour

The main topic of discussion at the September 25 Women in Tech Forum, organised by the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation (SRTI) Park and attended by SRTI Park Chairperson Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, was the Artificial Intelligence (AI) industry, which is predicted to grow at a rate of 37.3% annually between now and 2030.

“Leading the Charge: Women Shaping the Future of AI” was the theme of the significant event, which examined how women may increase their participation in this industry by exhibiting the opinions and experiences of female entrepreneurs, advocates for women’s empowerment, and a variety of corporate figures, including those involved in AI.

In her opening speech, Sheikha Bodour said: “In this era of rapid technological change, we have to create a future where women are at the forefront of AI and tech. It’s not just about equality — it’s about survival. By supporting women’s access to tech and AI careers, we can shape the ethical foundations of these technologies, ensuring they benefit everyone. We must create opportunities that empower women to lead, innovate, and define a future that works for all of us.”
