New Project

The UAE and the US state of New Jersey will collaborate to improve consumer protection, cybersecurity, and innovation in the online gaming industry. The UAE’s General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority and the state’s division of gaming enforcement struck an agreement to strengthen their collaboration, according to a statement from New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy.

According to Kevin Mullally, CEO of the GCGRA, “commercial gaming is a key pillar of the UAE’s strategy for diversified economic growth, playing a significant role in driving tourism and attracting foreign investment.

This is a rare opportunity to combine cutting-edge technology with cooperative, contemporary regulation to maximize economic potential while maintaining the highest standards of consumer safety.

The deal with the UAE would support New Jersey’s gaming infrastructure and technological environment, according to Wesley Mathews, president and CEO of Choose New Jersey, a non-profit organisation aimed at luring businesses to the state. The partnership between the DGE and GCGRA will prioritise responsible gaming while bolstering our global economy,” Mr. Murphy stated.

The exclusive authority to control, authorise, and oversee all commercial gaming operations and establishments in the United Arab Emirates rests with the UAE GCGRA, located in Abu Dhabi. Experts in financial crime prevention, gaming technology, law enforcement, responsible gaming, and commercial gaming regulation are among its personnel.
