A signalized intersection will be built at the intersection of Street 10 and Al Thanya Street, the current roundabout on Sheikh Zayed Road’s service road leading to  Dubai Al Thanya Street will be upgraded, and walkways and traffic lights will be installed to improve pedestrian safety.

The RTA’s strategic initiatives to increase road network efficiency and ensure smooth traffic flow across key areas include the traffic solutions currently under construction on Al Thanya Street, which are expected to be completed in early September 2025. The program promotes Dubai’s urbanisation, wealth, and population expansion while enhancing the emirate’s standing as a world leader in transportation and infrastructure.

For those traveling from Sheikh Zayed Road to Al Thanya Street, the enhancements help ensure a smooth traffic flow. By cutting down on the travel times for locals travelling between Umm Al Sheif and Al Manara, the new intersection between Street 10 and Al Thanya Street will help improve traffic flow and increase community satisfaction. It will handle future traffic development on Al Thanya Street and complement previous improvements along the service road along Sheikh Zayed Road. Along with improving safety standards through a signalized intersection and offering secure paths for bicyclists and pedestrians, the intersection also fortifies ties between Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Wasl Road, and the nearby residential and commercial districts.
