The Prime Minister of Lebanon, Nawaf Salam, paid a visit to Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (SZGM). He was joined by Fouad Chehab Dandan, the Ambassador of Lebanon to the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Anwar Gargash, the UAE President’s Diplomatic Advisor, Dr. Ghassan Salamé, the Minister of Culture of Lebanon, and his group.

Before touring the mosque’s halls and sections, the prime minister of Lebanon, accompanied by Dr. Yousef Al-Obaidli, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, visited the tomb of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who advocated for peace, tolerance, and coexistence around the world. Cultural experts briefed him on the mosque’s mission to spread the Founding Fathers’ values of acceptance, tolerance, and coexistence.

He learnt about the mosque’s history, its function in promoting global cultural exchange, and its Islamic architecture while he was touring it.

Following the tour, SZGM representatives gave Dr. Salam a copy of the book “Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: Lights of Peace,” highlighting the mosque’s architectural splendour and including photographs that won awards from the “Spaces of Light” Award. Dr. Salam’s official visit to the United Arab Emirates included a separate Museum of the Future reception.
