His Majesty The UAE’s vice president, prime minister, and ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, paid a visit to the 17th International Defence Exhibition (IDEX 2025) on Tuesday at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Mohammed stated during the tour that having strong defence capabilities is essential to generating a powerful deterrent effect, improving national security and stability and, in the end, ensuring a bright future for future generations.
He also emphasised how the UAE’s defence industries have made great progress in meeting the country’s needs for cutting-edge military hardware and technologies while also offering significant economic advantages through knowledge localisation, the creation of specialised jobs, and an increase in Emirati businesses’ ability to compete globally.
As he welcomed international delegations and exhibitors, Sheikh Mohammed reiterated the UAE’s dedication to building alliances and promoting innovation in a variety of industries in order to fulfil the goal of a safe and prosperous future for everybody.
In addition to contributing to the national economy, Sheikh Mohammed praised the UAE’s defence sector’s outstanding advancements as part of larger development initiatives encompassing other vital industries.
Sheikh Mohammed emphasised the UAE’s dedication to acting as a centre for innovation, development, and strategic collaborations, emphasising that IDEX is a crucial worldwide platform for advancing defence industries and technologies.
