
The AlUla Conference for Emerging Market Economies, which took place in AlUla, Saudi Arabia, on February 16–17, was attended by Mohamed Bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs.
With a focus on policies meant to promote sustainable growth in emerging economies, the event, which was organised by the Saudi Ministry of Finance and the Regional Office of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Riyadh, brought together policymakers and economic experts to discuss financial and economic challenges at the regional and global levels. Al Hussaini participated in a high-level roundtable discussion during the conference on “Coming Together to Support the Recovery of Middle Eastern Economies Post-Conflict.
Representatives from the Arab Coordination Group, the World Bank, the IMF, the European Commission, the GCC, and the G7 countries attended the meeting. Key issues facing economies impacted by violence were discussed, along with methods for promoting regional and global collaboration to aid in recovery.
The minister participated in a number of sessions during the conference that focused on the biggest economic issues confronting emerging countries and the world economy. Emerging Markets Amid Structural Shifts in the World Economy,” a major panel debate, examined the difficulties faced by economic policymakers in the face of global economic changes.
