The Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, paid a visit to the Zayed Herbal Center to examine its research projects and programs that aim to record, investigate, and advance Emirati traditional and herbal medicine using the most recent scientific techniques. His Highness was informed of the center’s goals, which include conducting scientific research, recording traditional therapeutic knowledge and practices, investigating native medicinal plants, and creating evidence-based natural products that adhere to international standards and best practices in order to establish a national reference for herbal and traditional medicine research.
The center’s research facilities, specialized laboratories, knowledge and research management system, herbarium, and methods for conserving Emirati medicinal plants and herbs were also shown to His Highness Sheikh Mansour. The scientific encyclopedia of UAE flora, which promotes scientific study and aids in the preservation of the nation’s cultural legacy, was also explained to him. His Highness examined several clinical trials and scientific investigations being carried out by the center in the area of traditional and herbal medicine. In order to assist the advancement of therapeutic methods and bolster research and innovation in the field, the studies seek to provide an evidence-based scientific knowledge foundation.
