According to the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), educational institutions are required to maintain the ongoing availability of six critical full-time posts under the recently enacted staffing policy in Abu Dhabi schools. Principal, Deputy Principal, Head of Inclusion, Health and Safety Officer, Social Worker, and Nurse are among the required roles.
It should be mentioned that other mandated posts, including university and vocational advice counsellors for schools with better grades, would be needed in line with other ADEK policies. For licensing purposes, these jobs are not, however, covered by the list of required positions.
The newly enacted guideline stipulates that new schools with fewer than 500 students enrolled are not required to choose a deputy principal for the first five years. However, schools are required to guarantee the steady availability of qualified instructors for all academic fields and courses, and a senior academic leader must be appointed temporarily.
The following conditions (unless otherwise specified for specific positions) allow employees who were hired before the issuance of this policy for admission criteria for employees in schools and who do not meet the new requirements to remain employed in schools, according to ADEK.
