Adnoc declared the launch of a cutting-edge technology for process optimisation enabled by artificial intelligence (AI). Adnoc’s Neurone 5 was first implemented across hundreds of pieces of equipment at Adnoc Gas’s Taweelah gas compression plant and Adnoc Onshore’s Northeast Bab (NEB) field.
The creative solution increases operational downtime, boosts efficiency, and eliminates the need for labour-intensive manual inspections by autonomously monitoring the performance of vital equipment. It also enables process optimisation and preventative maintenance. By analysing data such as pressure, temperature, and vibration obtained from sensors on crucial equipment, Neurone 5 leverages deep learning algorithms and sophisticated AI models to forecast maintenance requirements and track equipment performance.
Adnoc Upstream Executive Director Abdulmunim Saif Al Kindy stated, “Adnoc nergy demand. Our upstream and downstream facilities’ development and implementation of Neurone 5 serve as examples of this strategy in action and our ongoing progress towards becoming the most AI-enabled energy company in the world.
