Zhejiang Province in China has formally opened its Culture and Tourism Middle East Promotion Center in Dubai, establishing a new venue to enhance cultural and tourism interactions and broaden collaboration between Zhejiang, the United Arab Emirates, and the Middle East. More than sixty representatives from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other Middle Eastern markets, including tourism, business, education, and related sectors, attended the launch ceremony and industry networking event, which was organised by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism.
The ceremony, which featured the formal opening of the new promotion center, was attended by representatives of Zhejiang’s tourism industry, the China Cultural Center in the UAE, the Consulate General of China in the UAE, and industry partners. From its cultural legacy and picturesque scenery to its cutting-edge technology and innovation ecosystem, Zhejiang’s many tourism offerings were highlighted at the event. In order to give Middle Eastern tourists fresh perspectives on the province, participating Zhejiang tourism businesses also offered carefully planned itineraries covering cultural exploration, ecological leisure, business travel, technology, and innovation.
The new center will assist destination marketing, industry involvement, business collaboration, and continuous tourist exchanges by acting as a long-term link between Zhejiang and travel trade partners around the Middle East. Zhejiang’s technology, digital innovation, and integrated approach to tourism and culture have garnered rising prominence on a global scale. A business group from the United Arab Emirates is anticipated to travel to Zhejiang by the end of 2026 in order to conduct additional study and exchange on digital tourism. In the future, the center will assist cultural, tourist, sports, and educational travel projects while establishing new avenues for interpersonal communication and increased cooperation between Zhejiang and the Middle East.
