As part of the traffic safety campaign “Your Lives Matter, Your Safety Is Our Goal,” Dubai Police, represented by Hatta Police Station, has started a number of field awareness campaigns aimed at delivery motorbike riders. The initiative aims to enhance traffic awareness and promote adherence to road regulations, supporting Dubai Police’s strategic vision of a “Safe City.” Major Ghadeer Mohammed Al Khalidi, Head of the Traffic Registration Section, Colonel Ali Obaid Al Bedwawi, Deputy Director of Hatta Police Station, and several delivery riders were present at the ceremony.
Colonel Al Bedwawi reiterated Dubai Police’s dedication to stepping up traffic awareness campaigns for all users of the road, particularly delivery riders whose jobs include lengthy driving hours. He pointed out that these kinds of awareness initiatives are crucial in lowering accident rates and directly help to meet national targets for fewer traffic-related deaths and injuries. According to Colonel Al Bedwawi, the sessions covered a number of important subjects, such as frequent infractions like weaving between cars, riding in groups and upsetting other drivers, swerving suddenly, and making abrupt lane changes, especially on internal roads, as well as common causes of accidents like distracted driving and speeding penalties.
Colonel Al Bedwawi emphasized the significance of ongoing awareness efforts and the critical role that delivery company partnerships play in accomplishing traffic safety objectives at the conclusion of the event. In keeping with its strategic vision and the highest international safety standards, he reaffirmed Dubai Police’s commitment to making roadways safer and more sustainable. A significant awareness campaign that reached 9,200 workers in five important locations of Dubai was recently successfully completed by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE) in partnership with Dubai Police.
