On Tuesday, mourners in southern Lebanon buried a father and his young kid who were murdered in an Israeli drone strike targeting a Hizbollah member. Hassan Jaber, a police officer, and his child, Ali, were walking when the strike hit a passing car in the middle of Yanouh on Monday, according to family members. Lebanon’s health ministry stated that the youngster was three years old.
Both were murdered on the spot, as was the car driver, Ahmad Salami, who the Israeli military described as an artillery official with the Lebanese group. It stated that it was aware of a “claim that uninvolved civilians were killed” and that the case was being investigated, adding that it “makes every effort to reduce the likelihood of harm” to civilians.
Salami, also of Yanouh, was buried in the village on Tuesday beside his father and son.
