Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy has announced that it supported the establishment and growth of 1,690 digital startups in Dubai during 2025, marking a strong increase of nearly 40 per cent compared to the previous year. The growth highlights the chamber’s role in strengthening Dubai’s appeal as a global destination for digital businesses and entrepreneurial ventures.
Companies working in artificial intelligence made up around 15 per cent of the startups supported, while fintech firms accounted for 12 per cent. Businesses focused on mobility technology, software-as-a-service, and e-commerce together represented 20 per cent of the total. International companies formed the majority of those supported, accounting for 75 per cent of the overall figure.
The announcement follows the launch of Dubai Founders HQ in October last year by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai. The initiative aims to further strengthen Dubai’s startup and small and medium enterprise ecosystem.
Dubai Founders HQ is a joint initiative between the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. It operates as a hybrid platform that combines a physical campus with a digital ecosystem, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, corporates, and industry enablers to encourage collaboration, innovation, and business growth.
