A high-level United Nations team headed by Dr. Ramiz Alakbarov, UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in the Palestinian territories, visited the UAE field hospital in Gaza to assess the country’s continued efforts to assist the health sector during the present phase.
The delegation was given a tour of the hospital and informed about the medical and humanitarian services offered to the injured and wounded, as well as the procedures for handling emergency cases and the medical staff’s 24-hour operations to provide urgent care.
Members of the group expressed gratitude for the hospital’s crucial role in the current situation and were given an outline of the UAE’s ongoing efforts to improve the health sector’s capability and lessen civilians’ humanitarian suffering.
The delegation also had a tour of the Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 warehouses, where they were briefed on the quantity of aid sent to Gaza’s citizens, operational procedures, and available equipment. They were made aware of the planning and distribution procedures intended to guarantee that help effectively reached disadvantaged populations.
Dr. Alakbarov expressed gratitude for the UAE’s leadership in providing immediate humanitarian assistance and its unwavering commitment to easing civilian suffering while praising the outstanding accomplishments made under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.
