A program to train and qualify 1,000 entrepreneurs from Emirati families nationwide in project management, business establishment, and entrepreneurship has been started by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism and the Ministry of Community Empowerment.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, initiated the initiative as part of his “The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World” campaign. A development program is part of the effort, which is carried out in strategic partnership with the National CSR Fund and in cooperation with the New Economy Academy.

The announcement was made at a meeting on Wednesday in Dubai that was attended by Dr. Laila Faridoon, CEO of the New Economy Academy; Sara Shaw, CEO of Majra, the National CSR Fund; Aisha Ahmed Yousef, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Community Empowerment; and Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism.

To enhance their practical skills and capacities in entrepreneurship and local production, the program aims to train and qualify 1,000 entrepreneurs from Emirati families across the United Arab Emirates.
