Air Arabia announced on Monday that it has taken delivery of its first Airbus A320neo aircraft, part of the airline’s major order of 120 A320 Family aircraft placed with Airbus in 2019. The new A320neo joins Air Arabia’s existing fleet of 83 Airbus A320 Family aircraft and marks the beginning of deliveries from the 120-aircraft order, which includes 73 A320neo, 27 A321neo, and 20 A321XLR models. This milestone reflects the airline’s long-term strategy to expand its network, enhance sustainable operations, and strengthen its footprint across key markets.
To celebrate the arrival, Air Arabia hosted a special ceremony at Sharjah International Airport. The event was attended by Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammad Al Thani, Chairman of Air Arabia; Sheikh Khalid Bin Issam Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation; Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority; and Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, along with senior officials from both the airline and the airport.
The arrival of our first aircraft from the Airbus order is a key milestone in Air Arabia’s growth and fleet expansion strategy. As we continue to modernize our fleet, we remain focused on operational efficiency, innovation, and sustainability, while ensuring value and comfort for our passengers.
