We recently had the privilege of having an insightful conversation with Ardy Khavari, Managing Director and CEO at 8608 Capital Group, a boutique Family Office and Private Merchant Banking. He is also a Board of Directors of Lending Services Canada member and Chairman of its affiliate, Haimish Development.

Ardy Khavari shared, “What inspired me to start my journey in the finance industry was a deep passion for helping businesses grow and thrive. From a young age, I envisioned myself working in and ultimately owning an investment banking firm that is grounded in rigorous research, meticulous analysis, and effective portfolio management. My goal has always been to cultivate a firm that not only excels in identifying and analyzing diverse investment opportunities but also creates pathways for innovation and growth.”

“A significant challenge I faced was navigating the economic downturn, a time that tested our resilience and strategic acuity. I tackled this challenge by remaining flexible and proactive in reassessing our strategies to fit the changing landscape. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners became paramount. Open communication is essential in overcoming obstacles, and I learned it’s crucial for a leader to be a good listener—paying attention to market signals and the perspectives of the operational team and all stakeholders. Keeping emotions in check and concentrating on the core issues until the storm passes is vital for any leader,” he mentioned.

Ardy Khavari added, “My aspiration for our company is to establish it as one of the premier boutique family offices, where excellence in due diligence, transparency, risk management, and flexibility converges with intelligent capital infused with positive energy and good intentions. To achieve this, I envision leveraging open banking capabilities, AI, and the strength of our extensive network. It’s essential to have a clear vision of where we want to head, but this must be supported by robust data and a comprehensive understanding of our operational landscape.”
