The United Arab Emirates organized a new medical evacuation flight carrying 119 wounded and injured people from the Gaza Strip, together with their families, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO). Since the humanitarian crisis began, the UAE has evacuated 2,904 patients and their families so that they can receive medical care.
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan ordered the most recent medical evacuation flight to treat 1,000 Palestinian children who had been injured and 1,000 cancer patients who were spread across the country’s hospitals.
These initiatives show the UAE’s leadership and continued dedication to easing the suffering of Gaza’s civilian population, giving them access to necessary healthcare, and lessening the severe effects of these trying times.
The UAE’s ongoing commitment to providing a prompt humanitarian response, including the urgent transport of patients and injured civilians from the Gaza Strip, was emphasized in this regard by Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development and International Organs and Vice Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency.
As part of its leading international efforts to promote rapid early recovery, ease the suffering of those affected by crises and conflicts, and advance stability worldwide, the UAE has demonstrated its deep-rooted and unwavering support for the Palestinian people and its commitment to standing by them during emergencies and critical times.
