Future Arab leaders were allowed to share their valuable thoughts and insights from the viewpoint of the youth in a strong and unparalleled session at the 14th International Government Communication Forum (IGCF). Thirty representatives from the Sharjah Youth Council (Shura), the Emirati Children’s Parliament, and the Arab Parliament for the Child came together for a combined parliamentary simulation.

This workshop, “The Voice of Children and Young People,” was sponsored by (du). The book “Sustainability: A Duty for Future Generations” was specifically created as a legitimate platform for policy debate, with the opinions of those who will bear the consequences of today’s choices at its center.

The discussion, which was facilitated by Elias Bin Awad Bin Awad Bin Al-Thawab Bin Saif Al-Ma’ani, President of the Arab Parliament for the Child, included Ghizlane Benjelloun, Vice President of the National Observatory for Child Rights in Morocco; Aisha Hamid Al Khayyal, First Deputy Speaker of the Emirati Children’s Parliament; Musbah Mohammed Musbah Al-Ketbi, Member of the Sharjah Youth Shura Council; and Ayman Othman Al-Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament for the Child.

Elias Bin Awad’s opening remarks praised His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah and a member of the Supreme Council, for his visionary leadership in empowering Arab children and involving them in tackling significant societal issues. He also reaffirmed the young participants’ shared commitment to him.
