His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President, met on Wednesday with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, to discuss the close relations between the two nations and the repercussions of the recent Israeli attack on Qatari territory.
During the talks, Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s steadfast solidarity with Qatar and its full support for measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of its people. He stressed that the attack was a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and international law, warning that such actions pose a serious threat to regional security, stability, and peace efforts. Sheikh Mohamed also commended Sheikh Tamim’s efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
At the conclusion of the visit, Sheikh Mohamed departed from Hamad International Airport, where he was seen off by Sheikh Tamim, alongside senior Qatari officials. Earlier in the day, Sheikh Mohamed had arrived in Doha on a fraternal visit and was warmly received at Doha International Airport by Sheikh Tamim, along with Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir’s Personal Representative; Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; and several members of the royal family, ministers, and senior officials.
